This is a privately minted proof-like prototype replica of the Apollo 11 Space-Flown Robbins Medallion Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Historic Apollo 11 Moon Landing. Size is 1.25" (32MM)

On July 20, 1969, America and the world watched as United Stated Astronauts took mankind’s first steps on the lunar surface. In recognition of the 50th anniversary of the first manned landing on the Moon, each medallion has been meticulously sculpted with the Original Concept Apollo 11 Mission Insignia, Surnames of the Flight Crew, and Mission Dates that the Apollo 11 Launched, Landed, and Returned.

Each Commemorative Medallion is clad in Genuine 24 Karat Gold & Black Ruthenium. Size is 1.25” (32 mm).

Starting with Apollo 7, the Robbins Company of Attleboro, Massachusetts began working with one or more astronauts from each mission to design and strike medallions that would travel aboard their flights into space. Paid for by the crews and available for purchase only by NASA astronauts and members of the Astronaut Flight Office (AFO) support crew, these sterling silver mementos usually had very limited mintages of only 100 to 450 medals per mission. Today, these prized medals sell for tens of thousands of dollars at auction.

The original NASA space-flown Apollo Medallions were mission-specific commemorative medallions, often astronaut designed, which were approved by NASA and carried aboard the mission spacecraft by the astronauts into orbit. In 1968, the first commemorative medallions where manufactured beginning with Apollo 7. One (or more) of the astronauts from the flight crew worked on designing their mission medallions.

The basic elements of the medallion design are consistent throughout the Project Apollo series. The main design element along with the mission name is located on the obverse. The names of the flight crew can be found on either the obverse or reverse. The mission dates are located on the reverse. Beginning with Apollo 11, special fields were designed for the reverse of the medallion that allowed for engraved dates of launch, lunar landing and return. The medallions were stored in the Command Service Module during flight and on missions involving a lunar landing. A small number were brought to the lunar surface aboard the Lunar Module.

    • YES! Hassle-free returns! Please email support@proudpatriots.com with your name, order #, and reason for exchanging.
    • If the exchange is due to a packaging error, defect, or manufacturing issue, we will cover the cost to return the item. If not, you just have to cover the shipping and we'll send you out a new item at no extra cost. 

    *Exchanges must be made within 30 days from the date your item was delivered.

    There are NO RETURNS for Customized Items. Those sales are final unless it's a quality issue or incorrectly sent. 

    DO YOU OFFER REFUNDS? 

    • ABSOLUTELY! If you don't love your Proud Patriots item, we will refund your money. Refunds must be processed within 30 days of your purchase date. Item must be in the same condition as you received it. If you want to request a refund, please email our customer service email for help processing. 
    • Please include a note as to why the item is being returned along with your order number and name so we can process the refund quickly.
    • Refunds will take 5-10 business days to process through back to your bank. Once a refund is processed you will receive an email notification.

    Do you use real U.S currency?

    These collectibles are genuine U.S. currency that we get from a private bank partner of ours and could be spent if you wanted to. We use a revolutionary process that allows us to put a high-quality film on top of the currency which makes it appear as though this is what the currency originally looked like. This process in no way alters or defects the original currency which means this is completely legal.

    How long does it take to receive my order?

    Normally 2 -3 weeks or less.  We print all of our products in house to ensure quality. After checkout, your order is sent to our warehouse for printing and quality assurance. 

    Do you ship outside of the United States?

    Yes, we do offer International shipping. 

    Is your apparel sized for men or women?

    All our apparel is unisex except our tanks. Our tanks are standard women's cut. Men's tanks are available upon request.

    Do you guarantee your products?

    Yes, for 30 days after shipment is delivered. Delivery date is determined from tracking. We do not accept returns on DISCOUNTED SALES and PERSONALIZED ITEMS.

    I received a damaged/incorrect item. What should I do?

    If you think you received an incorrect or damaged item and or missing an item, contact our customer service team at support@proudpatriots.com within 3 business days of receipt for further assistance. Kindly provide photos of the item(s) you received along with the packing slip as proofs.

    Do you offer refunds?

    We understand that ordering online can be difficult! If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, you can return the product and get a refund or exchange the product for another one. Contact customer service for assistance. 

    Who pays for shipping on items for return?

    We email return labels with no cost to our customers if the issue is a result of a packaging error. All other issues need to be addressed with our customer service to determine returns. If signs of wash or wear are visible, we cannot accept the item.
